'Patsy' is a brand new dwarf to mid-sized dense upright Japanese maple reaching 7-8 ft in 10 years. 'Patsy' was officially registered as a cultivar in 2012.

This Japanese maple leafs out in the early spring with bright chartreuse leaves that are deeply divide and heavily serrated which are outlined in rich purple-red border. 'Patsy' has a dense upright form gives a soft appearance looking almost like a dwarf upright laceleaf (although the leaf is slightly more palmate than a laceleaf). Fall colors on this Japanese maple are yellows, oranges, and reds.
