Acer sieboldianum 'Mikasa yama' is a fun Japanese maple with green full moon-like Japanese maple that is exceptionally cold tolerant.  The leaves on new growth on 'Mikasayama' point upward. The overall habit is more narrow than many other Acer sieboldianums reaching 10-12 ft in height by 4-5 ft in width in 10 years. Fall color on 'Mikasayama' is orange to red.
