Corylopsis pauciflora

Buttercup Winter Hazel

Zones 6-9

Part Sun-Full Sun

Corylopsis pauciflora is commonly known as the buttercup winter hazel because of its prolific buttercup yellow blooms that it displays in the winter. The flowers give off a fragrance that adds another dimension to this plant. During the spring, the shrub has small leaves that are dense making this an excellent accent plant to add a lot of interest in the winter garden. Fall color on Corylopsis spicata is typically yellow to orange. Corylopsis pauciflora may reach 4-5 ft in height and width in 10 years.
