'The Bishop' leafs out in the early Spring with a very bright red. As the seasons change to Summer, the foliage turns to a nice bronze color. In the fall, the color turns to a bright cherry-red. If 'The Bishop' is in a shadier spot, the foliage may be a bit greener. Early morning sun and late-day shade will allow the colors to come through much better. The form of 'The Bishop' is a compact upright. This cultivar thrives in Zones 5 through 9.
