I've been buying maples, conifers, and other perennials from Matt and Tim since 2000. Lots of rare hard to find trees plus a website that includes lots of great information about them. Then they release a video every day that include cultivar info, how to plant and take care of your purchase. What's not like? The Nichols have a great family business with loads of experience and ship all across the country with really good prices.

Received my tree in winter 2025. Packaging was great and tree quality was excellent - dormant but full of buds. I overwintered the tree in my windowless garage in the Denver metro with a monthly watering. Soon as the buds started to swell I planted in the ground and the thing has just taken off ever since. Even with the lacy fine foliage it is handling full sun conditions like a champ in our high UV high elevation sun, and has continuously pushed new growth despite early squirrel damage. So far this thing is a tank. Winter outside this year will be the final test, but I'm confident. 100% recommend this tree if you want a japanese looking maple in difficult conditions, and of course I recommend MrMaple in general. Both my purchases are doing great so far.

I am just a beginner, my most recent purchase, the Lily Pad came in great condition. Looking forward to adding more to my collection this is my 5 dwarf Japanese maple that I have bought. Love the Mr. Maple company, the company is so full of knowledge and assistance.

Planted in the front in my maple bed. A nice understory maple that has held up well to its mostly sunny location. The green is a very nice shade and should look great anywhere, and in a container, especially with the expected color change this Fall. Recommending this one for sure.

Just a nice little tree from pot (2xl) to bed since September 2025. The full moon fan leaves are holding its greens to orange tints in full Virginia hot sun. Planted next to my Bloodgood, the lime green trunk makes for a nice contrast. Loose soil and adequate watering is lighting up this specimen tree. Fall should be nice, it gave me a glimpse of colors last year while in the pot.

I purchased 3 trees. Price amazing, size equally amazing. Planted a couple weeks ago and they never even wilted a bit. I am definitely buying more!

The leaves are beautiful and elegant and the form is very attractive, but nothing compares to the brilliant stems that are red. Outstanding interest. This should be a focal point in the garden for year round beauty.

They were beautiful plants for the price, much bigger and better than I had expected . I purchased 4 Maple trees, one was broken during transit. I emailed them with the photo, they replaced the broken one. Cant ask for anything better .
