Local Pickup & Appointments

Thursday Appointments (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)

Appointments are available in half-hour increments and are reserved exclusively for viewing specimen trees (10 gallon and larger). Greenhouse shopping for smaller trees will not be available during these times and may only be done during scheduled open houses. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment.

  • To pick up locally, place your order online and select Local Pickup as your shipping method instead of Delivery. Alternatively you may use code DONOTSHIP at checkout.

  • This code does not provide free shipping. Instead, it alerts our office that you’d like to:

    • Hold your order for pickup, or

    • Combine multiple orders to save on shipping.

  • Be sure to apply the code at checkout to prevent a shipping charge.

Fall Shipping Deadlines

  • All summer orders held for fall shipping must ship by November 7, 2025.

  • Any held orders not shipped by this date will be canceled and refunded (minus a 20% restocking fee).

  • Changes or cancellations to existing held orders will also incur a 20% restocking fee.

Combined Orders

We continue to offer the option to combine multiple orders to help you save on shipping costs.

Shipping Information

  • We ship within the lower 48 United States only.

  • All orders are shipped via FedEx.

  • During peak times, shipping may take up to 2 weeks to leave our facility. Most of the year, we ship within 5 business days.

  • Once your order is in process and you receive a shipping notification, we cannot make changes.

💡 Example: An order of 5 × 1-Gallon plants ships in a Medium box (up to 8 fit). Adding 3 more 1-Gallon plants would likely not increase shipping costs.

Important Reminders

  • Please double-check your shipping address before submitting your order.

    • Our system prints labels exactly as entered.

    • Incorrect addresses incur a $25 FedEx address change fee, billed to the customer.

  • We ship every weekday during high volume seasons.

  • Japanese maples are shipped in their containers with a bag over the soil to prevent spills.

  • All packaging is designed with the tree’s health in mind.

  • Deliveries go to physical addresses only (no P.O. Boxes).

FedEx 2-Day OneRate Shipping

  • Available only for orders of 1–2 regular 1-Gallon trees (Small Box).

  • Cut-off time: 10:00 AM (EST). Orders placed after this time ship the following business day. Our business days are Monday - Friday.

  • Required for Small Box shipments to the following states:

    • Washington

    • Oregon

    • Idaho

    • Nevada

    • California

    • Utah

    • Arizona
