I purchased this about 18 months ago, so this is first Spring with roots really well established. Leaves bright pink at first, then turn to pastel pink on greenish yellow base. Subtle but beautiful in a relaxing naturalistic setting. Turns deep green for summer, but foliage is very clean--no brown spots, dry tips etc. Came through bad winter of 2025-2026 in Zone 5 northern Pennsylvania with no problem.

I picked this up at open garden last fall, and wasn’t expecting much this spring due to its small 1 gallon size and my poor soil. But it has far exceeded my expectations. It has been blooming nonstop since early April. Flowers are not heavily scented, but they are beautiful.
