'English Lace'

Upright Red Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

The holy grail of Japanese maples! 'English Lace' is a brand new laceleaf selection that is the tallest of any of the red dissectums. That's right, I said it gets upright growth and it is a laceleaf. It also gets some width with age. This selection leafs out in the early spring with a rich burgundy dissected leaf. This gives a soft appearance to a mid-sized tree. This selection grows upward reaching 10-12 ft in height by 15 ft in width in 15 years. Fall colors are bright oranges to reds. Like 'Seiryu' it is recommended to stake this selection for best upright growth.

The size of the trees in the photo are large 7 gallons. Currently we have only 1 gallons available.

I was lucky enough to attend the open house and pick up my "English Lace". I was impressed at it's height for a 1 gallon. It's beautiful.

I just bought my first 2 trees from Mr Maple. Very impressed with the condition and size of the 1 gallon English Lace Maple trees. They were easily 3 feet tall and in great condition. They were shipped right away and got here quick. I will certainly buy again and give them a top score for plants I have ordered online. Highly recommended. The picture does not do it justice since it is November and the leaves have nearly all dropped. I will add pics this spring/summer
