Acer palmatum 'Elizabeth'
Dwarf Red Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

‘Elizabeth’ is a dwarf compact red Japanese maple that was found as a chance mutation, called a witches' broom, by Skeeter Rod and named after his wife, Elizabeth. ‘Elizabeth’ leafs out in the spring with bright red new growth. By late spring, lime green begins to come in the leaf, creating great contrast with the red. During the summer, the foliage may turn greener, but new growth is a bright red. Fall color on ‘Elizabeth’ is a bright scarlet red. ‘Elizabeth’ is tight dense dwarf reaching 3-4 ft in height and within 10 years. ‘Elizabeth’ is great for conifer gardens, small spaces, and container plantings.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
