This tree has been under evaluation at MrMaple for several years and is now available for purchase. During spring, 'Ghost Dragon' produces downward-cupping leaves with red tips resembling painted fingernails. The most impressive feature of this tree is its cascading ability, with an arching habit that hooks strongly. Staking 'Ghost Dragon' up to 5-6 ft and allowing it to cascade downward creates a fountain-like weeping habit. It's also perfect for containers. 'Ghost Dragon' turns bright orange to red in fall and may display reticulated variegation in early spring under specific environmental conditions. This tree thrives in Zones 5 through 9.
