'Kamaeni hiba' is a uniquely beautiful dwarf hinoki cypress with short, twisted golden new growth that clumps together to form a soft, fluffy texture reminiscent of a stuffed animal. Its pyramidal shape is accented by irregular, softly rounded mounds. Although the interior growth may be chartreuse, the overall color is a bright lemon yellow that can be enhanced by providing plenty of sun. This slow-growing conifer typically reaches 3-4 ft in height by 2-3 ft in width over a period of 10 years. 'Kamaeni hiba' thrives in Zones 4 through 8.
