'Mayday' is a new selection of the 'Mikawa yatsubusa' tree, featuring an eye-catching peach-orange to white color in early spring. This dwarf tree is highly sought-after and difficult to propagate, making our few available specimens all the more exciting.
As the colors fade, 'Mayday' develops a stunning blonde color that rivals its early spring hues. By late summer, the tree takes on a lovely chartreuse green shade, growing up to 3 ft tall and wide in a tight, shingle-like pattern. 'Mayday' is a standout in any garden, and its yellow-to-orange fall color may even turn red in some environments. Grab one of our limited 1-gallon specimens before they sell out - they thrive in zones 5 through 9.
