Crispin Silva discovered and introduced 'Mystic Mikawa,' a brand new variant of the popular dwarf Mikawa yatsubusa that produces orange leaves during the initial leaf-out. As the season progresses, the color fades to green, and in the fall, the leaves turn orange-red, making it an excellent addition to any garden. 'Mystic Mikawa' is expected to maintain its dwarf, tightly layered habit and may reach a height of 3-4 ft in 15 years. It is well-suited for growth in Zones 5 through 9, making it perfect for those looking to add a unique and colorful plant to their garden.
