Acer palmatum 'Pixie'

The Japanese maple cultivar, 'Pixie' is a dwarf palmatum leaf tree renowned for its deep wine-red color. During fall, it flaunts bright fire-engine red foliage that adds a brilliant hue to any landscape. In addition to its unique foliage, 'Pixie' has dark red-to-black bark coloration, enhancing its overall charm. It maintains its vibrant color all summer long, making it a great option for full sun exposure. The cultivar grows upright with lateral branching, reaching a height of about 6 feet. Due to its miniature size, 'Pixie' is a perfect choice for container gardening or small garden areas aiming to add a vibrant color splash. 'Pixie' thrives in Zones 5 through 9.
