Acer palmatum 'Ukigumo'

The striking 'Ukigumo' is an elegant upright Japanese maple that surprises with its stunning white variegation every two or three years. The variegation is dependent on environmental conditions and isn't consistent annually. Shielding the plant from the harsh afternoon sun is crucial to maintain the variegation for the longest duration during the growth period. 'Ukigumo' is known for its radiant golden-yellow to orange fall foliage, making it an excellent choice for any garden. This cultivar thrives in Zones 5 through 9.
