The scientific definition is a dense mass of shoots growing from a single point, which results in a broom-like structure. One main characteristic of a Witches' Broom is the leaf structure, it will have one rounded point instead of the natural structure. One of the most intriguing facts about this deformity is that if you take a cutting from it you can re-produce a dwarf version of that particular tree!
