‘Charlotte Helene’ is a rare full moon Japanese maple selection by Dick van der Maat of the Netherlands. ‘Charlotte Helene’ is quite unique. There is nothing quite like this leaf. The divided foliage is more divided than many full moon maples but is more palmate than some of the more laceleaf selections like ‘Green Cascade’. ‘Charlotte Helene’ has a nice shade of green in the spring turning yellow to orange in autumn. ‘Charlotte Helene’ may reach 10-12 ft in height in 10 years in an upright manner. ‘Charlotte Helene’ is extremely rare in cultivation in the United States.
