'Climate Change' is a unique new selection by Talon Buchholz of Buchholz Nursery in Gaston, Oregon. The leaves are smaller and the growth is spreading and almost twisting. This creates a uniquely broad Japanese maple that seems to have a smaller habit. 'Climate Change' is a newer maple selection for us. When we visited Buchholz Nursery in June, it was the first time that we had seen this newer cultivar by Talon Buchholz. Since this Japanese is so new, many attributes for this selection are still to be evaluated.
