'Jeannie's Dream' is an extremely heat tolerant red Japanese maple from the deep south. In the early spring and fall it is one of the brightest reds of any of our Japanese maples making it stand out. When we offered in person sales, 'Jeannie's Dream' often sold out before it ever made it one online. Its leaf is much more heavily divided than most red uprights being that it is an acer matsumurae subspecies. This gives it quite an attractive and distinctive appearance.  'Jeannie's Dream' will reach 15 ft in 20 years. 'Jeannie's Dream' was selected and named by Dr. William Shell from Alabama after his sister, Jeannie.
