'Mikomo nishiki', rarely found in cultivation, is a beautiful dwarf to mid-size Japanese maple. The spring color is a bronze orange that will grab your attention. We aren't talking orange like 'Katsura', but a darker shade that stands out from many other selections. Once the spring color fades, the leaves turn to green with bronze highlights for the early summer. During the summer 'Mikomo nishiki' turns to dark green. Fall color on 'Mikomo nishiki' is typically bright orange to red. 'Mikomo nishiki' has a dense habit, typically reaching 6-8ft in 10 years.
