'Milky Way' leafs out in the early spring as bright yellow on green variegation. Each leaf twists and contorts differently with green, yellow, and cream variegation on the light green leaf. Nearly every leaf can look different and unique.

This selection is fairly rare. In Japan, this tree is listed as 'Agina' which translates as 'Milky Way'. It is a fairly new introduction into the United States. It will reach 6-8 ft in 10 years. Protection from the hot afternoon sun will increase yellow variegation amount. Fall colors are oranges to reds. This is an extremely unusual and beautiful Japanese maple that is sure to stand out in the garden.
