'O shi rini' extremely rare red upright has a uniquely narrow leaf with heavily rounded lobes. The shape is fairly narrow as well is it reaches 10-12 ft in height but is only about 7-8 ft in width. This selection was imported into America by the National Arboretum from Akira Shibamichi Nursery in Japan in 1978 and was not released into the nursery industry until recently. 'O shi rini' leafs out in the spring as a brighter brick red turning to a bronze red, then emerald green as the summer progresses. Fall color on 'O shi rini' is a bright orange.  Here is your chance to get this extremely rare maple.
