Acer palmatum dissectum 'Shojo shidare'

Weeping Red Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Shojo shidare' is a rarer form of weeping red laceleaf that often isn't found available in the nursery trade in the United States. The habit is more hooking and cascading than other similar red laceleafs. According to Yano's Book for Maples, 'Shojo shidare' was first introduced in 1975 and sold in the Kanagawa Prefecture. The red color on 'Shojo shidare' holds better in the summer than many red laceleaf selections. The fall color on 'Shojo shidare' is bright red to deep red. "Shojo" means deep red, while "shidare" means weeping.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
