'St. Jean' leafs out in the early spring with green-red heavily divided foliage that gives a unique texture. The shrub-like habit of this selection provides a great interest, especially mid-summer when new growth of pink-red with green veining appears during the second period of growth. The autumn color of bright yellows and oranges is quite showy and deserves a great location in the garden. 'St. Jean' may reach 10-12 ft in height and width 20 years. This selection is believed to written in French and should be pronounced "Saint John".
