Found as a chance seedling on 'Omureyama' by our good friend, Dan Heims of Taranova Nurseries, this 'Ever Autumn' Japanese maple hybrid has a red hue to the green foliage that gives the ever appearance of fall color. We believe this selection to be hybrid with Acer circinatum that is indigenous to the Pacific Northwest, even though 'Ever Autumn' handles full sun in Western North Carolina. We have a beautiful 'Ever Autumn' at our gardens at Maplewood Gardens that is always putting on a show. Fall color is a much brighter orange to red. We expect 'Ever Autumn' to reach 12-15 ft in 10 years. The 'Ever Autumn' available here were grafted directly from the original 'Ever Autumn' at the home of Dan Heims.
