'Yamato hagoromo' leafs out in the early spring with a purple red border on a green angel feather leaf structure. This 'Yamato hagoromo' has an upright shape with a dense habit reaching 8-10 ft in 15 years. Fall color on 'Yamato hagoromo' ranges from orange to red. 'Yamato hagoromo' is a selection by Masayoshi Yano in Japan, found as a chance seedling from 'Hagoromo'.
