White Fir
Zones 3-7
Abies concolor ‘Wattezii Prostrate’ is a slow-growing, prostrate form of white fir featuring soft, blue-green needles and a spreading, mounding habit. It thrives in full to mostly sun and prefers well-drained soil. Naturally resistant to deer, rabbits, and verticillium wilt, this hardy evergreen is both beautiful and low-maintenance. After 10 years of growth, it typically reaches 12–18 inches tall and 3–4 ft wide. Any upright leader shoots that develop should be removed to preserve its low, spreading form.
