‘Rainy Day' is a newer selection in that "Higasayama Family" that has extremely contorted new growth that is margined in white variegation. This selection is fairly new to us in evaluation. It turns to a bright red in the fall. 'Rainy Day' is expected to reach 8-10 ft in height in 10 years.
