Acer palmatum 'Alan's Gold'
Rare Spring Color Pinebark Japanese Maple Tree

Zones 5-9

'Alan's Gold' is a pinebark Japanese maple that leafs out with bright orange leaves. During the spring many of the leaves turn to a bright golden chartreuse, where this tree gets its name 'Alan's Gold'. This is the first ever tree to have both amazing spring color and pinebark. The pinebark on 'Alan's Gold' begins to develop the 3rd-4th year. As this tree ages, this gives 'Alan's Gold' the appearance that is much older. 'Alan's Gold' turns oranges to red in the fall. We expect 'Alan's Gold' to get 12-14 ft in 15 years.

Trees were potted from large liners to gallons in this spring and may not have completely filled out their pots.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Giant 1 gallon

It was fall and I got 1 gallon that was huge with roots coming out the bottom and full of leaves. With a great big smile I slip potted it up for fall and am looking for a place to plant it in spring :)
