'Mon zukushi’ leafs out in the spring with red tips on a green leaf. This quickly turns to bright vibrant green leaves for most of spring and summer. The summer flush on ‘Monzukushi’ may be more peach before transforming to the vibrant green. In autumn, ‘Mon zukushi’ turns to bright orange to red. ‘Mon zukushi’ may reach 8-10 ft in height in 10 years.  ‘Mon zukushi’ is a cultivar that was listed in Japan as early as 1704 and its name translates as “one of the sacred treasures”. Plant this ancient treasure from Japan and it is sure not to dissapoint. Nearly everyone who gets this tree brags on it because it develops into such a nice tree with great colors.
