Rare Variegated Radiant Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

Radiant™ is an exceptional new variegated Japanese maple tree. The pink and white mottled variegation covers the tree. When Radiant™ leafs out, the green leaves have a pink sand dust variegation which may fade to a cream by summer, but the new growth provides more pink variegation giving a cosmos of colors across the tree.  Fall color is typically a shade of bright red. During the winter, Radiant™ gives great winter interest with a light yellow green bark with pink swirling in the bark. Being a newer selection, we expect Radiant™ to reach 8-10 ft in 15 years.

Great plant

I did not expect a 2 day turnaround on this order. Plants arrived in perfect shape. This plant was much bigger than I thought it would be.

Wowza!

How many times have you paid too much for a mail order plant, only to get a one foot twig with the top broken and hanging by a thread, and a single sorry-looking root? Well, this ain’t that. This has to be the healthiest, most well-branched, sturdiest and best quality plant I have ever received by mail. Received it within a week of order placement. I got the size 1 in a one gallon container, but the plant was about 4 and a half feet tall - much larger than I thought it would be. It was very well packed, with nothing broken and lots of tight leaf buds along the branches (ordered in January, so it was dormant). It had a substantial root structure without being pot bound. I will report back in spring when it leafs out, but so far I’m very happy with my purchase. The Mr. Maple crew is great - clearly, they take pride in the quality of their plants.

Beautiful Specimen Tree

I just received my shipment of Acer Palmatum "Radiant." It arrived well-packaged and was much larger than I had anticipated. It's absolutely stunning! I planted it immediately and cannot wait to see it leaf out this spring. Thank you for this beautiful tree.
