'Tennyo-no-hoshi' is neat variegated Japanese maple selection by JD Vertrees himself. When grown in full sun, 'Tennyo-no-hoshi' have have bright pink-red margins in the spring. In shadier locations, the variegation may be more creamy. As the leaves mature, the variegation does turn more creamy yellow on the green foliage. 'Tennyo-no-hoshi' translates as "Angel from the Stars". 'Tennyo-no-hoshi' may reach 12-15 ft in 15 years.
