Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Chirimen'
Rare Dwarf Conifer - Hinoki Cypress

Zones 4-8

'Chirimen' is an exceptional dwarf Hinoki cypress that provides a unique compact & crinkly textured foliage colored in shades of blue, blue-ish silver, blue-green and a deep forest green. 'Chirimen', sometimes incorrectly labeled "Chairmen", reaches 2.5 ft in height by 2 ft in width in 10 years. 'Chirimen' is a favorite evergreen among gardeners, winning the 2011 Conifer of the Year with the American Conifer Society. We recommend full sun to partial shade with good drainage.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of woody ornamentals, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the woody ornamentals you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Plant looks good. Hoping it survives in my 8A zone.

Definitely a keeper

I think that this tree is adorable!
It has a unique shape and is small. I thought that it was so nice that I ordered it a while ago and planted it in my garden. Even though I am in zone 9 I had to try it. I gave it eastern exposure with late day shade. It survived the brutal hot summer and is doing well. I recommend this tree for anyone who likes unique trees.
