 Dragon Prince™

Dwarf Japanese Cedar - Rare Conifer

Zones 5-9

Dragon Prince™ is a dwarf Japanese cedar that was found as a dwarf mutation in the Gifu prefecture of Japan. Dragon Prince™ has a dense rounded habit and will reach about 3 ft in height and width in 10 years. This small stature makes Dragon Prince™ excellent for small spaces or growing in containers. Dragon Prince™ is the trademark name for 'Gifu', also known as ''sPg-3-014'.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Don't let the cuteness fool you, it's a Dragon™.

Like the previous gentleman's review, this is a very low maintenance cryptomeria. Lime green foliage with a low mounding habbit. Very similar to Globosa Nana except it's needles are shorter.

The only thing I noticed is that when it does not get enough sun or is not well-drained, it starts to turn bronze. Old branches that does not get any sunshine will drop needles.

This is a very great bonsai candidate.

Tough Little thing

I bought this conifer to grow in my front yard with a grouping of cryptomeria. Full Sun Zone 9, as a matter of interest. This plant grows in the hottest part of my yard. beautiful shape and all year interest. slow dwarf, very special little plant.
