Picea abies 'Virgata', Snake Branch Norway Spruce, is a distinctive Norway spruce cultivar valued for its long, whip-like, sparsely branched limbs that give it a dramatic, irregular appearance. With dark green needles and an architectural form, it makes an excellent specimen tree for naturalistic or unusual landscape designs. In 10 years, it typically reaches 15–20 ft in height and 6–10 ft in width, with a moderate growth rate. This low-maintenance tree requires little to no pruning, allowing its unique form to develop naturally.
