'Pixie Dust’ is a slow growing conical white spruce that was found and introduced by Iseli Nursery. ‘Pixie Dust’ was said to be a sport on the cultivar ‘Pixie’. New growth on ‘Pixie Dust’ is a brighter yellow which contrasts well against the darker green older needles. ‘Pixie Dust’, as the name suggests is great for fairy gardens due to its diminutive size and tight compact pyramidal shape. ‘Pixie Dust’ may reach 1.5 ft in height by half a foot wide in 10 years. ‘Pixie Dust’ was selected for the ACS Conifer of the Year honors in 2006.
