Abies balsamea 'Piccolo' is an extremely slow compact and dense conifer with a nice rounded form. The dark green older growth is accented with bright green new growth flushes. 'Piccolo' may reach 2 ft in height and width in 10 years. 'Piccolo' was found as a witches' broom and introduced by Carsten's Nursery of Germany.
