Styrax japonicus 'Emerald Pagoda' was a selection that was brought back to the United States by JC Raulston and introduced as one of the most vigorous and most prolifically flowering Japanese snowbells. When 'Emerald Pagoda' blooms in the late spring, the spicy fragrance can be smelt from far away. 'Emerald Pagoda' may reach 15-20 ft in height and width in 10 years with a nice vase shape. The green leaves of 'Emerald Pagoda' typically turns more yellow in the fall.
