Syringa ‘LECburg’, also known as Burgundy Queen®, is a beautiful dark purple red lilac tree. Burgundy Queen® has large nice conical blooms and blooms 1-2 weeks ahead of ‘Monge’. Burgundy Queen® was said to be found as a sport off of ‘Monge’ with much darker blooms and was introduced by L.E. Cooke Company. Burgundy Queen® may reach 10-12 ft in 10 years.
