Acer palmatum 'Nebula'

'Nebula' Reticulated Variegated

Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Nebula' is a brand new selection of reticulated Japanese maple with an extraordinary reticulated variegation to the leaves. This ghost-like Japanese maple has pink new growth that radiates with lime green, while also displaying the veins of the leaf in a very prominent way. The foliage turns to bright green with darker veins. Fall color is a bright red to maroon red. 'Nebula' is a brand new selection by our friends at Buchholz Nursery. 'Nebula' is expected to reach 8 ft in 10 years. Give 'Nebula' protection from the hot afternoon sun for best colors.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Pictures Don’t Do Her Justice

I’ve had this amazing tree for a year now in zone 6b/7a Oklahoma. I live on live water in a riverbed and it gets very cold here with brutally hot summers. She’s shown colors from peaches to a kaleidoscope of every color imaginable. She got burned in the super hot summer of 2022 then nearly frozen to death in the following Arctic and Siberian blasts. Through all that and after being moved to a more shade spot she took off and blew me away with every color combination in the book. She now stands at 52” tall after being froze back to a foot, has lovely branching and shows tons of new buds waiting for spring in 2024. Fell in love with this gorgeous tree from day one. Definitely an excellent choice.
