'Beijing Gold' is a 8-10 ft ginkgo tree that leafs out yellow. During the late spring, green chlorophyll pushes the gold color to the edges of the leaf. During the summer the new growth is variegated over the green leaves. This ginkgo is believed to have Chinese origins and is one of the most consistent variegated ginkgo trees. This male ginkgo tree is a non-fruiting selection.
This variegated ginkgo can handle full sun to part shade. Ginkgo biloba 'Beijing Gold' has a fall color is a bright golden yellow.
