Tsuga canadensis 'Gentsch White,' or Gentsch White Hemlock, is a dwarf cultivar of the Eastern Hemlock. The needles are green with striking white tips, which become most pronounced in the colder months, giving the plant a distinctive appearance. Ideal for use in shaded garden beds, rock gardens, or as a specimen plant. Its unique foliage color adds winter interest to the garden. It is a slow-growing shrub, typically reaching a height of 3-4 ft and spreading about 3 ft over 10 years. It has a rounded, compact habit.
