Rhododendron austrinum ×  ‘Aubie’ is a deciduous hybrid native azalea that was mix with Gibraltar and the native austrinum azalea,  known for its vigorous growth, heat and humidity tolerance, and excellent mildew resistance. Typically reaching 6–10 ft tall and 3–5 ft wide. In spring, it produces showy, fragrant clusters of bright orange, honeysuckle-scented orange blooms that attract pollinators, followed by clean summer foliage and bronzy fall color. Its reliability, strong fragrance, and multi-season interest make it an outstanding choice for woodland borders, native gardens, and mixed shrub plantings.
