If you love variegated plants, this is one you will fall in love with. ‘Kufujin’ is a rare variegated Japanese holly that Rick Crowder brought back from Ishiguro Nursery in Nagoya, Japan. Bringing a plant from a foreign country is no easy feat, but I am glad Rick realized how special this variegated gem is. New growth is a creamy white while older is a dark forest green with a creamy white margined variegation. The habit of ‘Kufujin’ is dense, compact, low and wide. ‘Kufujin’ may reach 2-3 ft in height by 4 ft in width creating a variegated display that will add a lot of color to small places. ‘Kufujin’ is an excellent dwarf Japanese holly for  containers, fairy gardens, or miniature rail-road gardens.
