Acer palmatum 'Orion' is a dwarf red Japanese maple with yellow fall color that was found as a witches' broom by the late Dick Wolff of Red Maple Nursery in Pennsylvania. It has a nice dense habit, reaching 3-4 ft in height by 6-7 ft in width in 15 years.

I'm very pleased with the Dwarf Maple trees I purchased from mrmaple.com two weeks ago. They're young plants still, but they're already leafing out nicely and getting used to their new habitat in the earth.
