'Butterfly' Variegated Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

‘Butterfly’ is a midsized upright tree that has amazing variegation. This tree emerges in the early spring with bright pink edges over a swirled white and green leaf. As the summer goes on the pink gradually fades away leaving the green inner leaf with a magnificent white boarder. As new growth comes it is tinged with the bright pink accents.

‘Butterfly’ grows 8-10 ft over time. This tree grows best when late afternoon sun is filtered. With its size and color, ‘Butterfly’ makes an excellent specimen, container plant or accent tree.

Butterfly maple

I love these trees. I had 1 in Virginia that I had to leave when I moved. It broke my heart to leave it there. I have the Bloodgood maple the Peacock maple and now my butterfly again. This place is amazing and when my sister visits I take her here ...she has the Peacock and we bought my parents a Peacock maple as well. 1 tree at a time we make the world a beautiful place

Amazing, creamy variegated with such a young tree in a 1gal pot. I can't wait to see the variegation as it matures. Good size overall, as well.
