'Matsuyoi' Japanese maple leafs out in the early spring with light green twisted leaves that may cup upward or downward depending on the growing conditions. Together with its broad spreading habit, 'Matsuyoi' has a unique texture. This rare Japanese maple can reach up to 10-12 ft at maturity. Fall colors are bright oranges to deep oranges. The name 'Matsuyoi' translates as "waiting for the early evening".
