Acer palmatum dissectum 'Inaba shidare'

Weeping Red Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

‘Inaba shidare’ is an excellent weeping red Japanese maple. This red laceleaf Japanese maple cultivar is pendulous but with a very arching effect. The leaf is medium sized and leafs out with brilliant shades of deep burgundy and maroon. The fall color is a scarlet red. ‘Inaba shidare’ is a very vigorous grower. This weeping red Japanese maple tree grows great in full sun and can handle partial shade areas though the color maintains better with at least a 3-4 hours of sunlight.

This laceleaf Japanese maple tree grows slightly wider than it does tall as it will reach 5 ft by 6 ft wide in about 10 years. This red laceleaf Japanese maple is very hardy and adapts well to almost any situation. Inaba shidare is an excellent patio plant and the growth lends itself well to large container growing. ‘Inaba shidare’ is one of the very best choices for a medium sized cascading red. The growth and shape make it the quintessential Japanese maple cultivar for any location.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Yet another beautiful tree!

I appreciated Mr Maple's service of holding an order over the winter and anxiously awaited the arrival of my tree once spring was here. It came last week and wow, just wow, it is perfect!

Inaba Shidare

Beautiful little maple was delivered to western Oregon during an unexpected heat wave. It lost some leaves, but is in good condition. Very nice shape and it should grow into a beautiful specimen tree. I’m pleased with my purchase!
