'Celebration' leafs out as a vibrant pink-purple with reticulated ghost-like variegation. In the south, by early summer this variegation turns creamy with dark defined reticulated veins in the leaf. The new growth returns to the vibrant pink-purple. Fall color is an intense fuchsia red. We expect 'Celebration' to reach 10 ft in 10 years.
Talon Buchholz claims that 'Celebration' may simply be his best introduction yet. It was found in 2007 from a batch of 'Purple Ghost' seedlings. 'Celebration' performs best with its color when given protection from the hot afternoon sun.

This was our first time ordering a plant online. It came in excellent condition, well supported in a nice, tall box with a bag around the base of the plant. The plant was watered and seemed to be doing just fine when it arrived. We planted it about two weeks ago and as far as we can tell it is doing well! I will order from this company again if we decide to purchase more maples.
I have had this tree about 2-3 years, in zone 7. Deer leave it alone :). The pics are early April to late May; brown spots are from a bit of frostbite this year is all - handled it great. Does get late morning to mid afternoon summer sun, so there is slight burn late summer, but this tough tree handles the entire year beautifully here. It is a wonderful kaleidoscope of seasonal celebration, indeed.
I ordered from Mr. Maple again this year and was bummed because the tree I wanted was sold out, so I got 2 other varieties. A few days after placing the order, the tree I wanted was available again. I was able to email them and easily add it to my order. The trees arrived very healthy. I potted them up and they are doing great, no signs of stress, very healthy trees. Also 1 tree was very large for a 1 gallon, it felt like a bonus. I highly recommend ordering from Mr. Maple

Tree arrived perfect as expected. Great straight leader branch!! Love that! I can’t wait till spring to see the pink leaves and for it to grow and flourish. I have a Tri Colored Beech in my landscaping and thought this would be a great tree to help add more spring pinks. Both like hot evening sun protection.
