Acer palmatum 'Crimson Queen'
Red Weeping Laceleaf Crimson Queen Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

‘Crimson Queen’ is a small red weeping Japanese maple. As the spring colors unfold, this is one of the best trees for deep crimson-purple reds. During the summer months, ‘Crimson Queen’ holds its color well. The fall color of this Japanese maple is a bright crimson red.

'Crimson Queen' performs the best in filtered light and is not recommended for direct late day sun. This is an excellent small red weeping Japanese maple cultivar that reaches around 3-4 ft in 15 years. The small size of Acer palmatum ‘Crimson Queen’ make it an excellent choice for container growing.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

She’s a killer… QUEEEEEEN

First of all, the 3 gal cultivar that I got from mm.com is BANANAS. The trunk on this relatively young tree is about an inch in diameter. This early spring of ‘24, I can tell the canopy is going to be massive. The new growth is extremely hardy, vigorous and beautiful. This tree is a classic for a reason and I don’t mind saying that getting a fairly massive specimen for $60 that would cost 3 times that much at any of my local nurseries is a NO BRAINER. Still would love the opportunity to share a single pic of this specimen to go along with the glowing review. Ahem 😉

A classic

Sure you can find these at a big box retailer but good luck finding any with nice form and healthy roots like the two I purchase from Mr. Maple. These 1 gallon high grafts are the size of a 3 gallon you would find everywhere else. Now I just need a ninja-yoroi, smoke bombs and some throwing stars so I can crouch behind these beauties and ambush that rogue ronin.

Taller Crimson Queen Japanese Maple

In your video, you showed a 4 foot tall, high graft Crimson Queen Lace Leaf Japanese Maple Tree.
How much would your 4 foot tall cost?
How long does it take to grow to 4 feet tall?
How much would it cost to ship that 4 foot tall Crimson Queen to Puyallup, Washington 98374?
Our winters are normally mild. We are close to the Pacific Ocean. What time in the Spring would be the best time to ship this Crimson Queen?
Thank You,
Ray Heyer
